Privacy Policy

Last updated June 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TruckScribe (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our subscription service (the “Service”). It covers both the information we collect from the people who use the Service and the business contact information made available through it.

1. Scope

The Service is a business-to-business tool. The records it makes available consist of business and professional contact information relating to commercial transportation operators — for example, company names, business addresses, business phone numbers, business email addresses, and the names and roles of company representatives acting in a professional capacity. This Policy also describes how we handle the account and usage information of our subscribers.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you request access or use the Service, we collect information such as your name, company name, email address, phone number, the credentials you set, the plan you select, and any messages you send us. If you make a payment, related details may be handled through the payment method we direct you to.

Information collected automatically. We collect basic technical and usage information, such as log data, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, the actions you take in the Service, and similar diagnostic data, including through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

Business contact information in our database. The Service makes available business and professional contact information compiled from publicly available and lawfully obtained sources, including business registration, licensing, and operating-authority records originating from federal and state transportation authorities (including the FMCSA and the MOTUS registration system) and other public and third-party sources.

3. How We Use Information

  • to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • to create and manage accounts, process access requests, and provision subscriptions;
  • to communicate with you about your account, requests, support, and updates;
  • to monitor usage, enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, and detect or prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
  • to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests; and
  • to compile and maintain the business contact information offered through the Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell our subscribers’ personal account information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, infrastructure, and email delivery), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TruckScribe, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • Subscribers. The business contact information offered through the Service is made available to authorized subscribers for legitimate business outreach, subject to our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Removal and Correction Requests

If you are a business representative and you believe a record relating to you should be corrected or removed, you may contact us at privacy@truckscribe.com with sufficient detail to locate the record. We review such requests in good faith and will act on reasonable requests where appropriate, consistent with our legal obligations and the public-record nature of much of the underlying information.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of certain information about you, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any such right, contact us at privacy@truckscribe.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding and may decline requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. We may retain certain information in aggregated or de-identified form.

9. International Processing

We operate as a global service, and information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you are located. Where we transfer information across borders, we take steps to handle it in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

10. Children

The Service is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
